Fan-Favourite OLN Original Storage Wars Canada Returns with Season 2 in 2015
– Production on 36 half-hour episodes now underway  –
– Season 2 of OLN’s #1 series* set to premiere next winter –
TORONTO (June 6, 2014) Rogers, FremantleMedia, and Proper Television have unlocked a winning combination – greenlighting Season 2 of hit, homegrown series Storage Wars Canada. A modern-day treasure hunt based on the smash-hit Storage Wars, the half-hour reality series follows six professional buyers who use their knowledge and expertise to bid on the contents of abandoned, repossessed, and forgotten storage containers. Principal filming on the 36-episode, half-hour series is now underway. Full broadcast details will be announced at a later date. franchise

“As the highest-rated show on OLN, the Canadian twist on this tried-and-true format has clearly struck a chord with our viewers,” said Nataline Rodrigues, Director of Original Programming, Rogers Media. “With its winning combination of outrageous personalities and surprising Canadian finds – we knew we had to bring Storage Wars Canada back for another season.”

Season 2 of Storage Wars Canada will return with second-generation auctioneer Don Reinhart and fierce bidders: Roy Dirnbeck – “The Instigator”; Cindy Hayden and Rick Coffill – “The Veterans”; Ursula Stolf – “The Knock Out”; and father-and-son duo Paul and Bogart Kenny – “High Roller and The Kid.”  Following an explosive first season, the stakes are even greater as tensions amongst the buyers are at an all-time high. Relationships are in turmoil and the old rule “there are no friends at auction” is taken to the next level. In addition to the stress of competition on the auction circuit, the buyers face a lot of major decisions with their own new business ventures on the horizon. As the new season unfolds, viewers can expect the action to heat up with a few new faces, special guests buyers, and celebrity appraisers.

“It’s great to see this locally produced version of the globally successful Storage Wars format being so well received,” said Lisa Honig, Senior Executive Vice President of International Distribution, Americas, FremantleMedia International. “The show offers its own local high-stakes, buyers, unique treasures, and challenges that can only be encountered in Canada.”
“Storage Wars Canada has a great home on OLN and we could not be happier with the success of the first season,” said Guy O’Sullivan, President of Proper Television. “With 36 episodes under our belt and another 36 to go, we anticipate another fantastic season filled with loads of personality and fascinating treasures.”
Storage Wars Canada is the Canadian version of the perennially successful Storage Wars franchise airing weekdays on OLN. Storage Wars Canada is currently in its first season, airing Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings).
The original series is produced by Proper Television and based on a format created by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia Company. Guy O’Sullivan (Canada’s Worst Driver) and Allison Grace (Tribute Bands) serve as executive producers, and Geoff Siskind (Canada’s Worst Driver) is the series producer. From Rogers Media, Marni Goldman is Production Executive, Nataline Rodrigues is Director of Original Programming, and Hayden Mindell is Vice President of Television Programming & Content.
FremantleMedia International handles global distribution of Storage Wars Canada.  The show is currently being distributed in more than 140 territories around the globe including the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and Australia.
