Empire comes to City in a Special Television Event, January 28

– Viewers can catch up on the first three episodes of the must-see drama Empire exclusively on, leading up to next week’s all-new episode on City –

From co-creators and executive producers Lee Daniels (The Butler, Precious) and Danny Strong (The Butler) comes Empire, the series critics are calling a  “bonifide, big honking hit,” that chronicles the family saga of music legend Lucious Lyon (Oscar® nominee Terrence Howard, The Butler), the head of a music empire who is not only battling a debilitating disease, but also his three sons and ex-wife...who are all vying for his throne.
Following its hotly anticipated series debut on January 7, this season’s most popular and electrifying new drama comes to City next Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings), with Episode 4, “False Imposition” in a special television event. The episode will also air in simulcast on OMNI Television.
Episode 4, “False Imposition,” sees Lucious make an attempt to steal a hot artist who's topping the charts from his rival at Safe House Records. Meanwhile, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) struggles with writer's block; and Cookie tries to mend her broken relationship with Hakeem (Bryshere Gray).
