TORONTO (February 29, 2016) Mornings are a little different on 98.1 CHFI! Beginning today, adored radio personality Darren B. Lamb joins the Rogers Radio family, with the launch of Erin and Darren in the Morning on 98.1 CHFI, alongside fan-favourite Erin Davis. No stranger to the Toronto radio scene, Lamb joins the team with more than three decades of on-air experience.
“Darren is a tremendous talent with a great sense of humour and a passion for entertaining audiences,” said Julie Adam, Senior Vice President, Rogers Radio. “We’re so excited to have Darren join Rogers Radio and welcome him to the 98.1 CHFI team.”
“I’m honoured to join Erin and continue the momentum of CHFI’s morning show,” said Lamb. “I’ve always admired Rogers’s commitment to local radio, and I look forward to starting this new chapter with 98.1 CHFI listeners.”
A Manitoba native, Lamb first hit the airwaves while in high school. Soon after, his sense of adventure took him to five provinces and the state of California, jump-starting his career at several different local radio stations.
Fuelled by an inherent love for entertainment, Lamb has interviewed some of the industry’s most celebrated musicians, including Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, and One Republic.
Erin and Darren in the Morning airs weekdays from 5 to 9 a.m. on 98.1 CHFI and online at CHFI.com, entertaining listeners with the perfect mix of music, news, weather, traffic, and laughter to kick-start their mornings.
