TORONTO (August 28, 2017) Whether it’s the mob underworld of Bad Blood or the paranormal ‘otherworld’ of Ghosted, the heart and hilarity of black-ish or the secrecy and suspense of The Blacklist, soaring through space on The Orville, or even Dancing with the Stars, City has TV fans covered for top-shelf entertainment all season long. Boasting four new must-see series, three new-to-City series, two live musical events, and 17 returning favourites – City’s freshest fall schedule yet starts Sunday, Sept. 10.

Hurtling viewers 400 years into the future, all-new, one-hour dramedy The Orville kick-starts City’s fall schedule at warp speed on Sunday, Sept. 10. From creative genius Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, American Dad), The Orville follows an exploratory spaceship and its crew, both human and alien, as they face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the problems of everyday life. From there, the sci-fi laughs continue with the new half-hour comedy Ghosted on Sunday, Oct. 1 , as a cynical skeptic and genius “true believer,” played by Craig Robinson (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office) and Adam Scott ( Big Little Lies, Parks and Recreation), respectively, embark on a mission to save the human race from aliens.

City brings edge-of-your-seat thrills with Bad Blood , a new original six-part event series presented by Rogers Media, in partnership with New Metric Media and Sphère Média Plus, in association with DHX Worldwide and Skyvision, premiering Thursday, Sept. 21. While imprisoned in Colorado’s Supermax Prison for the murders of three Bonanno family members, Montreal mob boss Vito Rizzuto (Anthony LaPaglia, Without a Trace) relies heavily on his right-hand man, Declan Gardiner (Kim Coates, Sons of Anarchy) to be his eyes and ears on the outside. But as the thriving empire he built is dismantled, Rizzuto watches helplessly as his closest friends and family members are targeted – ultimately culminating in a Shakesperean-level revenge mission upon his release.

Rounding out the fall schedule, toe tapping is the name of the game as City plays host to a live musical event based on the beloved classic holiday movie, A Christmas Story. Executive Producer Marc Platt (La La Land, Grease Live!) and Oscar ®-winning composers behind the original broadway production, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land), bring Ralphie’s story to the small screen onSunday, Dec. 17. Maya Rudolph ( Saturday Night Live) stars as Ralphie’s mother, with additional casting announcements for both specials to come in the coming weeks.

Additional television events to join the schedule include Rent, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, and the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards® – premiere dates to be announced at a later date.

Missed an episode? Don’t fret! Fans can catch full episodes of their favourite City programming on Citytv.com, available next day, post-broadcast. Series are also available on Rogers on Demand, Rogers Anyplace TV, and with the free City Video apps for iOs, Android, and Apple TV.
