Toronto (February 1, 2018) Canadian Business and Rogers Media announced today the prestigious PROFIT 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies program is now called the Growth 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies. The rebranding more accurately reflects the achievements of the companies that make the list each year.
The Growth 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies measures Canadian businesses on the same metric – five-year revenue growth – since PROFIT magazine developed the program in 1989. The research methodology and eligibility criteria that guided the PROFIT 500 program remains unchanged.
“Since its inception 30 years ago, the Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies program has identified and celebrated the most exciting and accomplished entrepreneurial businesses in the country, based on revenue growth,” said Deborah Aarts, Program Manager, Growth 500. “Marking our 30th anniversary with a new name – one that truly reflects the full scope of what the recognized companies have achieved – felt like the right change at the right time.”
The Growth 500 program also includes the Startup 50 ranking of Canada’s Top New Growth Companies, a companion list that ranks younger businesses on two-year revenue growth, and winners will continue to be profiled editorially in a special report in Maclean’s magazine and online at CanadianBusiness.com.
Nominations are now open for the 2018 ranking. To learn more about the Growth 500 ranking, read about 2017 winners, or submit a ballot for your business, please visit Growth500.ca.
