When Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) convinces the gang to help his mom move out of her home, they quickly learn that she has been very protective of Barney and lied to him about events throughout his life. Meanwhile, Ted (Josh Radnor) gets upset when Robin (Cobie Smulders) oversells him to a blind date. Guest stars include Wayne Brady (Lets Make a Deal) Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under) and Tony Award Winner Ben Vereen.

Jeff (Patrick Warburton) tells Adam (Oliver Hudson) that he has kept a list of all the mistakes that Audrey (Megyn Price) has made and Russell (David Spade) sends an inappropriate email to a coworker Timmy (Adhir Kalyan) is fond of.

As the shockwave of the plane dissipates, President Martinez's (Blair Underwood) staff must work quickly to assess what happened and how to respond. Director of National Intelligence, Blake Sterling, (Željko Ivanek) locks down Sophia (Laura Innes) for interrogation. The conspiracy widens, engulfing FBI Agent Collier (Heather McComb) and Carter (guest star D. B. Sweeney, Criminal Minds), a mercenary with questionable ties. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure, Thomas (Clifton Collins, Jr.), emerges with knowledge of the detainees and their plan.

When the son of a State Trooper is brutally murdered, Annie Frost (Kelli Giddish) and the U.S. Marshal team are called in to track down fugitive Eduardo "El Lobo" Lopez (guest star Robert LaSardo, Nip/Tuck). The case takes an unexpected turn when the Marshals discover that "El Lobo" is determined to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his, which ends in a showdown to stop him before he can find the couple who have his most prized possession.
The Biggest Loser (s/NBC): Tuesday, September 28 at 8pm ET/PT (7pm CT, 9pm MT)
Two players who didn’t make the cut in the season opener are hand picked by trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels to join the game. Later, the contestants have their first work out and meet with Dr. Huizenga for their health assessments; a surprise early weigh-in puts more players than usual at risk of elimination and the contestants race each other for the first challenge.

Amber (Mae Whitman) starts spending a lot of time with her new friend Kelsey (guest star Zosia Mamet, Mad Men) which makes Sarah (Lauren Graham) jealous. Sarah's coworker, Mike (guest star Kevin Alejandro, True Blood), gives her advice on the situation. Elsewhere, Julia (Erika Christensen) pushes Joel (Sam Jaeger) for another baby. Meanwhile, Adam (Peter Krause) struggles with his relationship with Max (Max Burkholder).

When a private security detail in Pakistan murders the scientists they’re paid to protect and kidnaps the lead scientist, CIA handler Shaw (Gerald McRaney) sends married spies Steven (Boris Kodjoe) and Samantha (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) to the rescue. With agents Hoyt (Ben Schwartz) and Leo (Carter MacIntyre) as back up, the team travels to the beaches of Turks & Caicos, the slums of Caracas, and the center of Stockholm as they race to prevent the kidnappers from forcing the scientist to perform her expertise—building a miniature bomb for their impending attack. Amid this security threat, the most danger may come when Leo meets Samantha’s sister Lizzy (Mekia Cox).

Gloria (Sofia Vergara) decides to honour her late grandmother by cooking more traditional Colombian meals; Claire (Julie Bowen) finds out Alex (Ariel Winter) is interested in a boy; Mitchell's (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) aversion to public displays of affection causes an argument.

Jules (Courteney Cox) has trouble coping when Travis (Dan Byrd) gets set to leave for college, Laurie (Busy Philipps) teaches Bobby (Brian Van Holt) how to use the internet on his “new” laptop, and Andy (Ian Gomez ) hatches an elaborate plan to deceive Ellie (Christa Miller) with the help of Grayson (Josh Hopkins).

When a man in a wheelchair is found dead in New York Harbor, Assistant District Attorney Kathryn Peale (Maura Tierney) brings a charge of Murder Two against the man's daughter. Jimmy Brogan (Rob Morrow) defends the young woman against the charge of killing her own father.

When Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) runs into his former law firm colleague Alan Connor (guest star Rob Corddry, Hot Tub Time Machine), the two re-connect and Jeff finds himself returning to some of his evil ways of late night partying and expensive suits. Alan takes Jeff to a law firm event to see his former boss, Ted (Drew Carey, The Price Is Right), and the study group shows up to “rescue” him. While Annie (Alison Brie), Abed (Danny Pudi) and Troy (Donald Glover) sneak into the offices to gather dirt on Alan, Jeff watches in horror as Pierce (Chevy Chase), Britta (Gillian Jacobs) and Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) are corrupted by the lawyers.

When Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) is surprised that more men have been noticing her, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) explains that she is coming off as more confident because of her new relationship. Meanwhile, Jack (Alec Baldwin) decides he must cheat mortality in order to teach his and Avery’s (guest star Elizabeth Banks, Zach and Miri Make a Porno) unborn son how to live. Elsewhere, Tracy (Tracy Morgan) is determined to be there when his wife gives birth, and a mystery man is making sure Kenneth's (Jack McBrayer) work at “TGS” is still getting done.

Alternating the story back to “over here,” the Fringe Team investigates a mystifying case where people are discovered in a trancelike state that ultimately leads to their death. The unlikely suspect: a mysterious box. As Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Walter (John Noble) collaborate to study its properties, alternate Olivia (Anna Torv) presses on and turns up the heat on an unsuspecting Peter. Meanwhile, key information about the future is revealed when Walter and Nina (Blair Brown) meet at Massive Dynamic for the emotional reading of the last will and testament of William Bell.
Hells Kitchen: Friday, October 1 at 8pm ET/PT/CT/MT
The 13 remaining chefs must prepare breakfast for 50 hungry EMTs in their first challenge and then attempt to make ravioli from scratch. During dinner service, one contestant's culinary ineptitude threatens a diner's marriage proposal.
Extreme Makeover: Home Addition (s/ABC): Sunday, October 3 at 8pm ET/ PT (7pm CT, 9pm MT)
Grace and John Lutz were a loving couple who were unable to have children of their own. They gave their hearts to many children, including several with special needs. After the couple passed away, their daughter, Kathleen, gave up her career and gladly came home to take care of six siblings with Down Syndrome, but the crumbling condition of their 40-year-old home has become a concern. The EM:HE team travels to New York with award-winning actress and volunteer Kristin Chenoweth to give this deserving family a new home.
