The Bachelorette, Season 7 (s/ABC): Monday, July 11 at 8pm ET/PT (7CT, 9MT)
Taiwan, the “hidden jewel of Asia,” is the romantic city where Ashley will make her most important decision yet: which four men will secure the coveted hometown dates? Constantine discovers that he has the first one-on-one date with Ashley - a tour of the Taiwanese countryside on an old-fashioned train. The next day, Ben F. meets Ashley at a breathtaking national park and they hop aboard a scooter, zipping past majestic waterfalls and magnificent mountains. The next morning, when Ben F. hasn’t returned from his date, one of the bachelors is driven into an emotional frenzy. Ashley’s last date of the week is with optimistic and energetic bachelor Ryan. They take in the sights of a local temple and the historic Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Square – but is the romance there? Then, Ashley breaks down under the pressure of having to send home two more men. Plus, in an emotional tell-all update, Emily Maynard, the single mom who captured Brad Womack’s heart last season on The Bachelor, will finally speak out about the state of their relationship. In hopes of putting to rest the rumors swirling around her, she reveals whether or not she and Brad are still engaged.
Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition (s/ABC): Monday, July 11 at 10pm ET/PT (9CT, 8MT)
Wally, a 26-year-old caring husband and loving father, is also a self-admitted fast food addict. Turning to food at an early age to cope with a rough childhood, Wally weighs in at 490 pounds when he meets trainer Chris Powell. Wally’s weight-loss progress appears to be going well, until Chris receives a troubling email that leads to an emotional intervention. Wally’s addiction to food has caused him to spiral downward and Chris wonders if Wally is beyond the kind of help he can offer. Chris puts Wally through intense regimens, including a climb to the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago and a 100-mile bike ride. If Wally can lose 110 pounds during the first of his four three-month phases, his reward will be a family trip to Disney World to celebrate his daughter’s second birthday.
America’s Got Talent (s/NBC): Tuesday, July 12 at 9pm ET/PT (8CT, 9MT)
Judging is turned over to the American viewing audience as 12 of the top 48 acts perform live in Los Angeles for a chance at the $1 million prize and to become the most talented act in America. Howie Mandel, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne star as the celebrity panel of judges and Nick Cannon hosts.
Murdoch Mysteries: Wednesday, July 13 at 10pm ET/PT (8MT, 9CT)
“Dead End Street”
Taking a little time off to enjoy a summer fair, the eagle-eyed Murdoch makes an improbable discovery: while studying an exquisitely detailed Toronto streetscape, he realizes that the artist may have depicted a crime scene. But a visit to the streetscape’s creator only complicates matters: Lydia Howland (Liisa Repo-Martell) is an “idiot savant” -- what we now call autistic. She behaves erratically and can’t communicate verbally, yet has the extraordinary ability to build a precise replica of the street where she lives with her protective and caring brother. Despite the lack of an apparent victim, killer or motive, Murdoch interviews Lydia’s neighbours and learns of the petty conflicts and tensions on the street. He then sets about piecing together what non-verbal information he can gather from Lydia in order to narrow down a timeline, find a victim, reveal a killer and discover the surprising motive behind it all.
America’s Got Talent (s/NBC): Wednesday, July 14 at 9pm ET/PT (8CT, 10MT)
The votes are in and four acts from the previous night’s performance show move on to the top 24 to continue their pursuit of the $1 million prize -- and be one step closer to becoming the most talented act in America. Howie Mandel, Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne star as the celebrity panel of judges and Nick Cannon hosts.
The Marriage Ref (s/NBC): Sunday, July 17 at 10pm ET/PT (9CT, 7MT)
Host Tom Papa is joined by celebrity panelists George Wallace, Denise Richards, and Seth Meyers in an all-new episode. A husband loves the twin bed he shares with his wife, while she favours getting a bigger bed; a wife tires of her husband posting signs around the house to get her to be cleaner; and a wife wants her husband to embrace the holistic lifestyle. The celebrities pick a winner within each couple and the audience votes which winner is the “Rightest of the Right.”
