(TORONTO – August 25, 2011) Rogers Media joins forces to bring Canadians comprehensive coverage of Jack Layton’s funeral, as well as a look back through the dynamic NDP opposition leader’s life.

CityNews remembers the charismatic NDP leader Jack Layton with live coverage and two CityNews special presentations. Tune in to CityNews at Noon Toronto on Friday, Aug. 26, when CityNews reports live from Toronto City Hall as Jack Layton lies in repose. Live coverage will also be provided from Roy Thomson Hall with the latest on the security and funeral service preparations. On Saturday, Aug. 27, CityNews, will air the CityNews Special Remembering Jack Layton, hosted by CityNews at Five Anchor Francis D’Souza at 1pm ET/ 10am PT/ 12pm PT/11am MT on Citytv stations across the country.
