(Toronto – Wednesday, May 16, 2012) As urban dwellers anxiously await to leave the city for the May long weekend, 680News, Toronto’s only 24-hour live radio station, helps vacationers beat their traffic woes with the launch of an all-new, dedicated Cottage Country Traffic report ‘on the 9s,’ anchored by cottage route specialist Corinne Van Dusen. The first coverage of its kind in the GTA, Van Dusen will report on outbound cottage-route traffic on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, and inbound routes on Sunday evenings or holiday Mondays.
Cottage Country Traffic expands 680News’ trusted up-to-the-minute traffic reports, inviting regular traffic spotters to call in their updates. Cottage Country Traffic reports will air at :09, :19, :29, :39, :49 and :59 past the hour on Fridays – 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays – 7 a.m. to 12 noon, and Sundays/holiday Mondays – 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Traffic tips can be called in toll-free on Rogers Wireless phones by dialing *680.
