Fiona (Emmy Rossum) tries to prove the Gallagher home is suitable for rehabilitating a delinquent after receiving a letter from Carl's (Ethan Cutkosky) teacher. Meanwhile, Lip (Jeremy Allen White) gets busted taking the SAT for fellow students in exchange for cash, and Frank's (William H. Macy) poor business decisions continue to have negative consequences.

Things heat up as Emily puts her first date of the season to the test baking cookies for her daughter Ricki’s soccer team. Then, they enjoy a romantic dinner and a special concert by country sensations Gloriana. On her first group date, she enlists the help of 13 bachelors at a charity event for the Ricky Hendrick Centers for Intensive Care at The Levine Children’s Hospital where the beloved Muppets perform. Later, Ricki helps her prepare for the rose ceremony where only 16 Bachelors will remain to fight for her heart and her hand.

Meanwhile, Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil (Ty Burrell) have a proud parenting moment when they send Alex (Ariel Winter) off to her first prom, but that moment is quickly marred when Haley (Sarah Hyland) shares shocking news of her future plans.

Meanwhile, James loses it when he discovers that Dean Cain's (guest starring as himself, Superman) Dancing with the Stars dressing room is bigger than his.

Erika and Kendall appear to be completely out of their element in the Yukon wilderness. But these city girls have a drive to succeed and their potential makes them stellar opponents.
