TORONTO (July 31, 2012) As announced earlier today at the Television Critics Association (TCA) summer press tour in Los Angeles, Rogers Media will deliver Season 2 of the digital series The Booth at the End exclusively in Canada on three offerings: online at Citytv.com and Rogers Anyplace TV, and on mobile through the Citytv Video App. Produced by Vuguru, the edgy, five-part, 22-minute series will be available in Canada every Monday for five consecutive weeks, beginning Monday, Aug. 6. The Booth at the End will also be available day and date with Hulu in the United States.

Rogers is an industry leader in delivering world-class content on its robust suite of digital properties, and this series is another example of how we are making premium programming accessible to viewers on multiple platforms at any given time,” said Andrea Gagliardi, Senior Director and General Manager, Broadcasting, Rogers Digital Media.

The Booth at the End centres on a mysterious Man (Xander Berkeley, Nikita, 24) who sits in a booth at the end of a diner. In each episode, various characters come to him with unattainable requests, such as curing a family member’s cancer, restoring faith in God, and receiving large sums of money. This mysterious Man can make these things happen – but it comes at a price. In exchange for what they want, these individuals must sacrifice their morals and do deeds normally inconceivable to them. As the characters’ tasks begin to overlap, complications ensue. But the Man never forces anyone to do anything. It’s always up to them to start – or stop – with one persistent question: how far would you go to get what you want?

In Season 2 the Man returns, but to a booth at a different diner. Continuing to receive requests from strangers and handing out tasks, the Man now has a wish of his own and is given his own difficult task to complete. Emotions run high as he tries to separate himself from the events he has put in motion.

Directed by Emmy® Award-winning actor Adam Arkin (Sons of Anarchy), Season 2 of The Booth at the End features an ensemble cast including: Xander Berkeley (Nikita, 24), Dayton Callie (Sons of Anarchy), Abby Miller (Justified), Jenni Blong (Lost), Noel Fisher (Battle Los Angeles), and Danny Nucci (Titanic). The series was created and written by ChristopherKubasik (Internet Adventures). Jaime Burke (The Pact) serves as executive producer and Vahan Paretchan (The Pact) is the associate producer. The Booth at the End was produced by Vuguru, Michael Eisner’s digital media studio in which Rogers is an investor.

Fans can also relive the dramatic first season on FX Canada beginning Thursday, Aug. 9 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT for five consecutive weeks.
In addition to hit series offered online and on demand through Rogers Anyplace TV, the Citytv Video App includes a number of convenient features, including a programming schedule; a notification service that reminds users when their favourite shows are available; as well as a functionality that saves users’ viewing history and favourites. Available on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, the Citytv Video App also allows users to share video links on Facebook, Twitter and via email.

Beyond the television and mobile experience, Citytv is everywhere as a multiplatform brand, accessible to viewers on several mediums with a dynamic array of content. Citytv.comoffers full episodes and exciting extras from Citytv’s hit programming, available post broadcast.
