“Pilot” **Series Premiere**
Ben and Kate follows a pair of odd-couple siblings and their friends as they push each other out of their comfort zones and into real life. Responsible single mom Kate Fox (Dakota Johnson, The Five-Year Engagement) has her hands full with her irresponsible brother Ben (Oscar®winner Nat Faxon, The Descendants), who turns up out of the blue and manages to ruin her first good date in a long time. Ben claims there are no ulterior motives for his visit, but the truth quickly comes out – he’s there to surprise an ex-girlfriend. When he discovers that she's getting married, Ben schemes with his friend Tommy (newcomer Echo Kellum) to crash the wedding, a plan for which he has also enlisted Kate's five-year-old daughter, Maddie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones, We Bought A Zoo).
The Mindy Project –Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings)
“Pilot” **Series Premiere**
From Emmy® Award nominated writer/producer and media darling, Mindy Kaling comes one of the season’s most talked about new series. Despite having a successful career as a skilled OB/GYN, Mindy Lahiri (Mindy Kaling, The Office) is unlucky in love and desperately needs to get her personal life back on track. But standing in the way of that is Danny Castellano (Chris Messina, Argo), a hothead guys’ guy who has a habit of stealing Mindy’s patients and criticizing her for everything. In contrast, Jeremy Reed (newcomer Ed Weeks) is the walking definition of total bad news – he not only shares a practice with Mindy, but sometimes her bed, as well. Rounding out the medical staff are the receptionists – Betsy Putch (Zoe Jarman, He’s Just Not That Into You), young, earnest and easily excitable, and Shauna Dicanio (Amanda Setton, Gossip Girl), a self-assured Jersey Girl who carries a poorly concealed torch for Danny. Also in the picture is Mindy’s sometimes too-blunt best friend from college, Gwen Grandy (Anna Camp, The Help), a lawyer-turned-Pilates mom who happens to be the governor’s daughter. Additional guest stars include: Bill Hader (Saturday Night Live) and Ed Helms (The Office).
New Girl – Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT **Special Episode**(check local listings)
**Returns to its regular timeslot of 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning Tuesday, Oct. 2**
The sophomore season of break-out hit New Girl, sees Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) re-evaluating her life after getting laid off from her teaching job. As she begins a new chapter, Jess immediately makes some dubious decisions, including working alongside a jaded cocktail waitress (guest star Parker Posey, Louie), jumping into a sex-only relationship with a handsome lothario (recurring guest star David Walton, Perfect Couples), and attempting to bond with her younger neighbors by using 80s humour. Meanwhile, Nick (Jake Johnson) is dumbfounded when he gets a visit from his future self, Winston (Lamorne Morris) must answer to his disapproving mother and basketball-star sister, and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) panics at the thought of getting old and becomes jealous when Cece (Hannah Simone) starts dating the anti-Schmidt. Then, catch a second episode of New Girl on the same night at 9 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings). Episodic details to be announced.
Raising Hope – Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings):
“Not Indecent, but Not Quite a Decent Proposal”
As a single parent, Jimmy’s (Lucas Neff) life’s goal is to be the world’s best dad. His parents, Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and Burt (Garret Dillahunt) made mistakes with Jimmy, but now with their granddaughter, they finally have the opportunity to get it right. Once the rock of the family, Maw Maw (Coris Leachman) has become even more unpredictable and her eccentricities force everyone to stay on their toes.
Private Practice – Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT (check local listings)
Following a tumultuous love triangle at last season’s end, Private Practice’s final season gets underway with Addison (Kate Walsh) settled into her new life after making a decision between Jake (Benjamin Bratt) and Sam (Taye Diggs). Meanwhile, Violet (Amy Brenneman) fears the worst when Pete (Tim Daly) doesn't show up to his preliminary court hearing; Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) swears Cooper (Paul Adelstein) to secrecy when she receives shocking news; Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) celebrates one year of sobriety; and Sheldon (Brian Benben) rekindles a romance with his ex-wife.
