98.1 CHFI Hits a High Note as Toronto’s #1 Radio Station


Claims top spot in Canada’s most competitive market with key demographic of adults 25-54

for the R1 period YoY

Highest share of hours tuned by key demographic for any radio station in English Canada in PPM measurement history


TORONTO (March 8, 2013) Rogers Radio station 98.1 CHFI, Toronto’s radio destination for the perfect music mix, claimed the #1 spot in Toronto, in the key A25-54 demographic for the R1 2013 period. As announced yesterday in the latest Bureau of Broadcast Measurement (BBM) ratings release, 98.1 CHFI experienced year-over-year growth with an increase in share of hours tuned to 18% by the key A25-54 demographic for the R1 2013 period. This is the highest share ever achieved by 98.1 CHFI or any radio station in English Canada in PPM measurement history.

Demonstrating its continued dominance in Toronto, 98.1 CHFI also increased share of hours tuned by 12% with the key A25-54 demographic, and 14% with the coveted F25-54 audience.
