Rogers Radio Stations Take Home Top Honours at the 2013 Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards

 
98.1 CHFI, KiSS 92.5, 680News, and SONiC 102.9 each voted Station of the Year in respective formats by industry peers
 
TORONTO (March 22, 2013) Rogers Radio took home top honours at the 2013 Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards, with four prestige awards for “Station of the Year”.  The annual industry awards were held last night in Toronto as part of Canadian Music Week.
 

Rogers Radio stations in key markets Toronto and Edmonton claimed the night’s biggest wins as  98.1 CHFI (Toronto), KiSS 92.5 (Toronto), 680News (Toronto), and SONiC 102.9 (Edmonton) were each named “Station of the Year” in their respective formats.  In addition to the title of “Station of the Year”, SONiC 102.9 Program Director Al Ford, was recognized with the additional honour of  “Program Director of the Year, Major Market”. 

 

Soon to be rebranded the Rogers K-Rock Centre, Kingston’s K-Rock Centre was celebrated with the award for “Major Facility of the Year (capacity under 8,000).”

 

In addition to esteemed wins at 2013 Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards, Rogers Radio’s industry leadership was further acknowledged this week at The Crystals, the annual awards recognizing creative excellence in Canadian radio broadcast industry.  The Rogers Radio group was awarded in the categories of “Best Radio Entry from a Small Market,” “Radio Promotion Single”, and “Radio Single”.
