Rogers Media Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Its Multiplatform Coverage

–Breakfast Television is Canada’s only morning show to bring viewers the day’s first party, gala, and red carpet highlights live on multiple platforms–

TORONTO (September 3, 2013) With just two days until the world’s biggest celebrities hit the city for the Toronto International Film Festival® (TIFF), Rogers Media’s leading media brands bring audiences close to the action with coverage of the most-anticipated red carpets, gala screenings, late night parties, and the stars. 
Kicking-off the first day of the festival on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 5:30 a.m. ET, Breakfast Television - Toronto’s #1 morning show - takes over the red carpet at the Ritz-Carlton Toronto for a live broadcast from TIFF central with hosts Dina Pugliese, Kevin Frankish, Frank Ferragine, and Jennifer Valentyne. Throughout the festival, Entertainment City on Breakfast Television will continue to bring audiences the day’s first scoop on late-night, breaking entertainment news on television, online, tablet, and mobile.
Once again the Rogers Hospitality Suite at the Intercontinental Hotel will offer celebrities a place to escape the festival frenzy. As part of the suite, guests will enter a space modeled after a Rogers Retail store, and can advantage of dedicated charging stations for all devices and Rogers Wi-FI, Chatelaine’s signature gluten-free cookies, and Heys Luggage carried on The Shopping Channel, allbefore heading into the Entertainment City interview room. New this year, Cityline guest experts Yanic Simard and Shai DeLuca-Tamasi transform the Entertainment City interview room into a glamourous backdrop inspired by the festival’s global representation.  With furnishings provided by Bentley Flanders, the Entertainment City interview room showcases pieces designed by world renowned artists, such as William Couig, Randall Tysinger, and Dorothy Draper by Kindel.
On City, viewers can tune into Entertainment City on CityNews at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. ET where Dina Pugliese, Melanie Ng, Tammie Sutherland, and the hilarious celebrity expert duo of Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan report live from the red carpets and parties, bringing viewers closer to the stars. Making his TIFF red carpet reporting debut is Canada’s favourite bachelor – Brad Smith. City will also carry around-the-clock TIFF action with live videos on-demand, and live-streaming on
